Cheryl Connell-Marsh, the owner of Nottingham Nature Nook in East Lansing.

January 24th, 2022 12:00am
If you've been in a car collision with a good size deer or have had your garden picked clean of the plants you carefully planted by a deer, you might agree with the city officials from East Lansing that culling the herd in the area is necessary. If you were one of 8 wildlife rehabilitators in the state, nursing fawns back to health at great effort and expense only to have them released in the wild a few hundred feet from where the culling is scheduled to take place, you might not agree with the East Lansing officials. Listen Saturday at 9AM as Rick Preuss from Preuss Pets and Lee Cohen discuss the details of this disagreement with Cheryl Connell-Marsh, the owner of Nottingham Nature Nook in East Lansing. Hear about the East Lansing plan for culling the herd (which is similar to plans taking place in other communities in Michigan) and the changes that Cheryl would recommend to protect people's possessions (cars/plants) and protect the animals at the same time. Learn about what Wildlife Rehabilitators do and why their work is so important to the injured animals that are frequently discovered in nature. Learn what you should do and should not do when you discover these creatures in nature. talking Reptiles and Frogs with NYC native Frank Indiviglio.

Do you remember the commercials for EF Hutton? They would include two people discussing business followed by one of them stating that their broker was EF Hutton and EF Hutton says.... and the whole place would go silent so as to not miss a single word to follow. That commercial comes to mind for me every time this week's guest is on. Listen Saturday at 9AM as Rick Preuss from Preuss Pets and Lee Cohen discuss Sea Horses, Reptiles and Frogs with NYC native Frank Indiviglio. Frank has a diverse background that started from growing up across the street from the Bronx Zoo. He is also a Zoologist, Herpetologist, Blog Writer, Attorney, Book Author and Zoo Consultant. When he and Rick Preuss start chatting with one another, you will seldom hear a smarter conversation about animal care and the history of the pet keeping industry.
