Once again the forecast for the first week of November includes SNOW!! As if the clock change and the late afternoon darkness aren't a challenge enough to get your pets exercise. While it waited until November this year, it still brings to mind all the little details you need to think about for proper pet care in winter! Listen Saturday at 9AM as Doctor Will Schultz, DVM (retired) and Lee Cohen are joined by Rick Preuss from Preuss Pets who will begin with information for outdoor fish in your pond. If you are keeping them outside for winter, Rick talks you through how to do it. If you are planning on moving them indoors, he will talk you through a few different ways to do it. Next up, Dr Schultz will talk all about the area for concern mostly with dogs and cats in winter. You will hear about how important it is to keep them safe with lights or reflective items, especially if you have a black dog. He also talks about protection from ice and salt, the importance of water and outdoor shelter where they can warm up if they are outside.
