In the winter, if you can't go to the tropical climates to snorkel and check out the cool corals and creatures, what can you do? Listen Saturday at 9AM as Rick Preuss from Preuss Pets, Doctor Will Schultz, DVM (retired) and Lee Cohen discuss a few of those options. First up is to go to Preuss Pets and talk to the new saltwater aquatics manager Dale Sharp. Dale shares his long time background with fish and the weekend trips he would make to different fish stores to see what they had. Then Dale found Preuss and both seem quite happy!! Dale shares his suggestions on how to setup your own saltwater aquarium and shares some of the key care steps (like food) that will keep your corals flourishing. Dale had lots of other suggestions along with Rick on lights, filtration and other steps that make saltwater tanks much easier then many imagine. Rick then shares the story of the baby seahorses currently at Preuss. Rick shares how to keep them alive, how to feed them and other tips to keep them happy and thriving. Lee also brings up the Stingray in Preuss Pets that will keep you staring! Then Jim Watling from the Mid Michigan Reef Club is in to share the details about the 19th annual Coral Swap taking place this weekend on Lansing's south side. See seminars and 40+ vendors selling corals you may have never seen before and will have the opportunity to talk with fellow enthusiasts as you swap lessons, successes and maybe even a frag! It's a fun discussion on Salt water on this weekend's edition of the Mid Michigan
